  1. The following is a list of software designed and written by Kevin Cummins
  2. of Crimson Cross BBS:

  5. SFCMB    (SFCMBxx.ZIP)
  6.          Spitfire Clean Message Base Utility. Scans the message base for
  7.          profane, or unwanted text, and either marks the message for
  8.          Deletion, or masks the offensive text with the '*' character.
  9.          Action is sysop-configurable. The message body is scanned, as well
  10.          as TO:, FROM:, and SUBJECT: fields in the message header.
  11.  
  12. DIR2SF   (DIR2SFxx.ZIP)
  13.          Convert program to convert PCB Dir1, Dir2, Dir3, etc. file listing
  14.          commonly found on CD-ROM disks to the Spitfire one-line format.
  15.          Sets these up for your SF file base, or for use with a door
  16.          program such as SF-ROM.

  18. FI2SF    (FI2SFxx.ZIP)
  19.          Convert program to convert FILES.BBS directory listings to the
  20.          one-line Spitfire format. This utility is designed to handle those
  21.          listings that DO NOT have file sizes or dates, and inserts such at
  22.          run time.

  24. NETSTAT  (NSTATxx.ZIP)
  25.          Bulletin Generator for Sysops that echo Netmail. This utility lists
  26.          the date & time of the last successful mail run, and also includes
  27.          the number of messages imported and exported on each run. The
  28.          current version (1.1) supports Postlink, PcRelay, Jnet, Tnet. Can
  29.          also be used with others in a generic mode.

  31. SPITSTAT (SPITSTxx.ZIP)
  32.          Spitfire-specific Statistical Bulletin Generator that creates
  33.          general system usage bulletins for your SF BBS. Supports up to
  34.          19,200 connections, door usage, etc.

  36. LOTABULL (LBULLxx.ZIP)
  37.          Statistical Bulletin Generator that can be use for many purposes,
  38.          with virtually any BBS software. Can do reports such as general
  39.          system usage, door usage, message conference reports, etc. A
  40.          configuration utility is also included for easy setup.

  42. DSADJ    (DSADJxx.ZIP)
  43.          A utility designed to adjust security level temporarily for doors
  44.          that use DOOR.SYS. This was written as a special purpose utility
  45.          to allow certain users access into certain message conferences
  46.          thru the JETMAIL door, but can be used anywhere temporary security
  47.          level adjustment would be an alternative to revamping or adding
  48.          additional security levels on your BBS.

  50. FILESTAT  (FS-xx.ZIP)
  51.          Another Spitfire-specific utility designed to add a line
  52.          to file descriptions like:

  54.             *Files:  7  Oldest-02/28/93  Newest-02/28/93
  55.  
  56.          It 'peeks' inside ZIP or ARJ files, extracts file dates, total
  57.          number of files, and appends this information to the end of
  58.          descriptions in your SFFILES.BBS files. Also includes a utility to
  59.          remove itself (or other appended information by other utilities).

  61. SFCOOF   (SFCOOFxx.ZIP)
  62.          A companion utility to the FILESTAT program listed above. It uses
  63.          the information generated by FILESTAT to allow you to 'Clean Out
  64.          Old Files' from your file areas. You specify how old the files
  65.          must be in order to be 'Cleaned Out'. The date you specify is
  66.          compared against the NEWEST date in the archive (NOT the archive's
  67.          date itself!) Files are either Moved or Deleted, depending on your
  68.          preference.

  70. SFOFP    (SFOFPxx.ZIP)
  71.          This utility does the same thing as SFCOOF listed above, but where
  72.          SFCOOF requires you to have used the FILESTAT utility above SFOFP
  73.          does not. It will therefore be slower than SFCOOF, since it also
  74.          has to perform the operations of FILESTAT to determine the
  75.          internal file dates. This utility DOES NOT write file information
  76.          to your SFFILES.BBS as FILESTAT does. Its only purpose is file
  77.          area purging based on the NEWEST file date in your ZIP/ARJ files.
  78.          It compares that date with one you specify at runtime, and either
  79.          moves or deletes (sysop's preference) that file based on that
  80.          comparison.

  82. GOODRUN  (GOODRUN.ZIP)
  83.          Returns 3 different error levels, based on file size of a specified
  84.          file. This was designed to be used on mail runs to be able to
  85.          distinguish between 'successful' runs, *barely* 'successful' runs,
  86.          or failed runs, and pass errorlevel to allow branching in the run
  87.          batch file. The intent here was to keep your mail run bulletins
  88.          from updating if there wasnt sufficient message flow. I don't
  89.          consider importing 1 message successful when you normally would
  90.          import 500, do you? This utility is uncluded in the NETSTAT
  91.          package. This program has numerous other possiblities.

  93. SFSNS    (SFSNSxx.ZIP)
  94.          Spitfire Sysop Notification System. This SF utility reads the
  95.          Callers.log for important sysop-specifed information, and then
  96.          imports a message into the message base reporting any positive
  97.          findings. SFSNS keeps you from having to constantly monitor the
  98.          callers.log to stay informed of whatever is most important to you.
  99.          You might miss an entry, but SFSNS won't! Works great for CD-ROM
  100.          requests, New Users added, security level changes, files uploaded
  101.          to Sysop Only, Questionairre (Order) Menu responses, and much
  102.          more.

  104. PAGETOGL (PAGETOGL.ZIP)
  105.          Spitfire-specific utility to toggle the Page feature on & off at
  106.          scheduled times through your system events.
  107.  
  108. SFBBLTRV (SFBBLTRV.ZIP)
  109.           Bible Trivia door in the traditional Spitfire format, written in
  110.           conjunction with Buffalo Creek Software. Has a 1000 question
  111.           database.
